Mother Paula

Author of the prayer "Jesus, living in me". - M. Paula ZofiaTajber was born on 23rd June 1890 in BiałaPodlaska into a family of wealthy Polish businessmen.  She spent her youth in Zytomierz in Volhynia, where at the age of 18, influenced by atheistic philosophers, she faced a religious crisis and left the Church. After years of spiritual searching, she experienced a mystical encounter with Jesus, to whom she has devoted her whole life ever since.

The time of the Bolshevik Revolution and World War I, full of physical and moral suffering, awakened in Sophie a burning desire to save human souls. Under the influence of God's grace, she understood that rescue and regeneration for lost humanity is in the Soul of Jesus, who is the ideal and source of holiness for human souls.

In 1923 Sophia Tajber founded a religious community in honor of the Most Holy Soul of Christ, whose purpose is to communicate the truth about Christ living in human souls. She believed that this truth would bring spiritual renewal to the world because through people who consciously live in union with Jesus in their souls, God will be able to do great things in the Church and the world. The awareness that the human soul is the temple of God is also meant to remind us of the great value of each person's life from the moment of conception.

M. Paula Tajber died in the reputation of sanctity on May 28th1963, in Siedlec near Krzeszowice. Her canonization process began on November 9th 1993.
